Hello everyone, 

Thank you all for registering to the 2020-2021 academic year! We would like to announce the following starting dates for our Credit Class and regular Chinese programs. 

Credit Classes: Starting on Saturday October 24, 2020 (9:00am - 12:30pm)

Elementary Program (JK-Grade 8): Starting on Saturday November 7, 2020 (9:00am - 11:30am) 

For Elementary program registrants, you will receive an email from the Board (WRDSB) as well as your respective teachers regarding next steps over the coming week.

Hello everyone!

We are ecstatic to announce that registrations for the 2020-2021 academic year has now opened! 

For JK - Grade 8 students, please register here.

For Grade 9 - Grade 12 students, please register here.

Registration closes on Tuesday September 29, 2020.

Virtual Classes begins on Saturday October 31, 2020.

NOTE: There will be no in-person classes at this time.

Dear KWCS students and parents,

We hope this note finds you all well!

We know you are all wondering when registrations and classes will open for the upcoming school year. Unfortunately at this time, we do not have a timeline for reopening as we take our direction from the WRDSB and the Ontario Ministry of Education. We will post here with reopening plans once we receive the green light from the province. We look forward to welcoming you back then. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy everyone!

Important March Dates

  2. Saturday March 14, 2020 - MARCH BREAK: There will be NO CLASSES
  3. Saturday March 21, 2020 - MARCH BREAK: There will be NO CLASSES
  4. Saturday March 28, 2020 - Regular Language Classes will be OPEN. Interest Classes remain CLOSED until further notice (due to ongoing strikes).

亲爱的家长，同学们！

金猪辞旧岁 福鼠迎新年！

KW中文学校2020农历新年联欢会于1月25日隆重举行！ 感谢师生的积极参与及
精彩表演， 感谢家长们的理解和支持， KW中文学校的明天会更好！

请注意本周重要通知：

  1. 中文课：本周六 2月1日有中文课 。JK-G8，11：30放学；高中部12:15放学。请家长准时到校接学生。2月8日的课视教育局罢工进展待定。
  2. 兴趣班：因教育局罢工，2月1日、2月8日的兴趣班取消，顺延到学期末补。
注：滑铁卢教育局针对新冠状肺炎给出的建议是，如果家长担心病毒传染风险，可以选择让学生本周不上学。

KW中文学校流感季节卫生安全注意事项
  1. 良好的卫生习惯
    • 饭前、便后、课后、游戏后勤洗手。建议家长给学生随身携带“便携式”免洗消毒净手液(Purell Hand Sanitizer)；
    • 咳嗽或打喷嚏时，请用纸巾或胳膊肘挡脸，以免飞沫传染；
    • 咽喉不适勤漱口。家长可让学生用生理盐水或低度盐水漱口；(盐水在口中停留30秒以上吐出效果更好)
  2. 良好的生活习惯：作息有规律，早睡早起勤锻炼，增强身体的免疫力和抵抗力
  3. 良好的饮食习惯：多饮水，不暴饮暴食。多吃VC含量高的蔬菜水果，提高身体的抵抗力。
  4. 遵守规定保安全
    • 不带含坚果、蛋类、奶类等易引起学生过敏的食物到校；
    • 不经学校或班主任同意，学生不得带食物到校并私下与其他学生分享或交换；
    • 学生生病，除家长与学校或班主任请假外，应及时就医。严格按照医嘱治疗并在家中休养，痊愈后返校!

常言道: “病从口入!”只要把住口、手关，健康快乐每一天!

First Day of Class for the 2019-2020 Calendar Year

Hello everyone! 

We hope you all had a relaxing and wonderful summer holidays! 

Regular Chinese classes will begin Saturday September 14, 2019 at 9:00am. 

Rainbow classes will start Saturday September 28, 2019. The Level 1 class will run from 9:00-10:00am and the Level 2 class will be from 10:30-11:30am.

Interest Courses start dates and class options will be posted on Saturday September 14 with registrations opening on Saturday September 21. 

If you have already registered for our regular Chinese classes, our teachers will be in touch between Wednesday September 11 and Friday September 13 with further details.

Thank you for your continued support of our school, and we look forward to welcoming you to another exciting year!


End of Year Announcements

As of Saturday June 15, KWCS wrapped up another successful academic year. On behalf of our teachers and staff, we wish all of our students and their families a relaxing and fun summer holiday!

The first class of the 2019/2020 school year will be on Saturday September 14, 2019. 

And finally, the 2019 KWCS Summer Camp will start on Tuesday July 2, 2019.
